The way you start your day affects the quality of life you spend the rest of your day. So why not start it with Ayurveda's principles of healthy balance? Below, I will show you how to make a few simple adjustments to your morning routine for a healthier life.
Where to start? There are many ways to start your day to keep yourself relaxed and rejuvenated all the time. The problem is that you find your path, according to your doshic type, needs, and current equilibrium, because this is the only way for you to receive positive, nourishing energy throughout the day. Instead of engaging in intense practice, it's more important to choose what you like to do and then do it every day - for no reason. To achieve results, one of the essential things in Ayurveda is continuity.
Here are 7 Ayurveda habits to help you live a better life. It's up to you to try some of these ideas, or you can find completely diverse ways to spend the most critical parts of the day. This will allow you to revitalize, let go of the old, and increase your energy and vitality. To enable your body and mind to adjust quickly, start with one or two practices during the first week, and then gradually increase the time to the following weeks.
1. Wake up early
We should try to wake up early, 2 hours before sunrise - if possible. Morning is considered the purest time of the day. There is nothing better you can do for yourself than to wake up early and absorb the peaceful and refreshing early morning energy, sipping it and letting it fill you with the positive of the day. It is essential to adjust your wake-up time according to the season.
2. Pray
Say an affirmative prayer or affirmation to keep you in a loving vibe throughout the day. This will allow you to take a moment to connect with yourself, feel grateful, remain at the center, and gather strength and hope to calm you down throughout the day. Often to be distracted, frustrated, or in a hurry, especially in the morning, but praying to God and giving thanks right after waking up, provides us with the peace to approach us better every day. It is so much easier to enjoy our lives as we begin each day praising grace and gifts from God!
3. Wash your face
Cleansing your face in the morning is a good idea. While you toss and spin at night, bacteria from saliva and oil from your hair easily get transferred into your face and eyes, so even if you wash your face at night and pillowcases regularly.
Also, if you use products such as treatment, serum, moisturizer, or night cream at night before going to bed, you have to wash them off in the morning before using day products.
Start by washing your eyes with fresh water, which will stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system in the morning, keeping yourself and your body calm and relaxed. Then wash your face and scrape your tongue to get rid of bacteria from the night before. Rubbing the tongue will also stimulate your digestion, which begins with saliva in your mouth. At this point, you can also clean your teeth - if possible, use natural powders like neem for Pitta and roasted almond crust for Kapha and Vata.
Just be aware that you may need to use a different cleanser in the morning than the one you use at night. For example, if you have exceptionally dry or sensitive skin, you might want to use micellar water or an ultra-light cleanser in the morning. And if you use skin cleansers that contain salicylic acid to help control acne, you may find that it is too harsh or drying to use twice a day.
4. Drink
You should drink a large glass of warm water and comfortably add a little lemon if this is consistent with your constitution. Lemons are not recommended for people with acid problems as well as for the general Pitta and Kapha types. A glass of warm water cleanses your kidneys, stimulates peristalsis, and cleanses your digestive tract. It's a much better choice than a cup of coffee, putting all those organs under stress too early in the day. The actual evacuation in the morning is essential recommended by Ayurveda because waiting longer can increase ama or toxins or toxic substances in the body, causing imbalance or illness.
5. Do yoga
No perfect way to start a day than Yoga! This full yoga practice provides an opportunity for you to build breadth and asana quickly and then for around practice. Showing up to pranayama (or breathing practice) and moving meditation awakens the mind and body lovingly, giving you the needed energy to conquer your day—hips, heart, shoulders to legs. Create space in the lower back and nourish healthy energy flow through the spine. Use your breath to build strength, to move with intention, and to find what feels right.
6. Take a shower after you finish your exercise
Usually, experts recommend doing warm-up exercises to prepare your body for physical stress. Following that, workouts must also include cooling off exercises to mark the end of a training session.
Taking a hot bath right after exercise triggers the blood flow in the body, helps the skin lighten, and reduces muscle soreness. On the other hand, a cold shower will immediately lower your temperature and heart rate. Studies show that taking a cold bath right after exercise also increases blood flow.

7. Eat
Have a warm, nutritious, and healthy breakfast. Our bodies are depleted of all nutrients because we have no food at night. Therefore, a healthy breakfast every morning is critical for the body to function correctly. Contrary to widespread belief, skipping breakfast won't help you lose weight. Instead, it is one of the main reasons people gain weight. Besides, skipping breakfast in the morning will cause us to run out of energy, indifferent, grumpy, and irritable
