One of the sports that both women and men choose to train themselves in their free time is Yoga. Yoga is a method of training that originates in India. This practice helps you feel peaceful, calm mind, and relax a lot after stressful working hours. However, to get the most effective Yoga hour, you need not only the right methods but also the right Yoga gear. So, let us find out what Yogis should wear? What should not wear?

1. What to wear to Yoga depends on your Yoga Class
The truth is that Yoga has many different styles and several types of classes that fit that style. Some styles focus on posture, and others focus on heat. Therefore, the choice of outfit is determined by the type of Yoga you choose. Typically, yoga classes for beginners will be Hatha or Vinyasa Yoga. Hatha Yoga tends to be at a slower pace, and Vinyasa Yoga is more focused on motion. I found in my Vinyasa classes, I could start to get a little cold, but I soon got warm.
Some Yoga classes like Bikram and Hot Yoga take place in a hot room to make you sweat. You need to wear quick-absorbing fabrics that leave no sweat or tight shorts or leggings. If you choose shorts, make sure they're long enough. Unless you want to flirt with your classmates, go with longer shorts or long leggings.
Those are all pitfalls to avoid when it comes to what to wear for a Yoga class. You can add a cooling wrap or yoga socks for cozy feet.
2. Choose breathable and comfortable Yoga outfits
Yoga classes usually have a temperature of about 26-32 degrees Celsius. Most people sweat in class, especially in intensive Yoga classes. You will be more comfortable when wearing clothes that are breathable, fit, and absorb sweat from your body. You can find these clothes in any sporting goods store, most retail stores, or online.
T-shirts, tank tops, sports bra, yoga pants, capris, tight pants, and shorts are all great options. (If you wear shorts, you can choose some knee-length or longer, to avoid slipping.)
You should choose fabrics from cotton because they absorb well. Some people also choose to wear a band to prevent sweat from entering their eyes.
3. Avoid wearing loose clothing
Although Yoga always encourages you to wear the most comfortable clothing, I recommend that you should avoid wearing loose clothing. Because loose shirts will block your view as well as others when performing your poses like Downward - Facing Dog.
4. Choose the right bra
Choosing the right-for-you sports bra is essential for a successful Yoga session, especially if you have big breasts. Whether you want to wear your sports bra underneath a top or on its own, remember to choose the one that supports and holds you is necessary. You do not want your bra to slip out of position and reveal what's underneath, so ensure you choose a style that will stay neat in all poses.
Lightweight bras, V-necks, or light colors may not be the best choice for an intense Yoga session.

5. Yoga pants
When practicing Yoga, you should choose shorts or pants. You can also choose long leggings with mesh patterns to ensure a relaxed, breathable workout.
It would be best if you did not choose pants that are too slippery so you can keep the right balance on one leg. If you practice at home, it is okay, but when you go to the gym, you should not choose pants that are too short and too tight because it can make you confused, uncomfortable, and embarrassed.
Sports underwear is less popular, but it also plays an essential role in making you comfortable or not. 100% cotton panties are always recommended because of their natural and breathable nature. Still, they are easy to absorb sweat and become heavier after a period of training. And because it was worn inside, it did not dry out quickly as advertising. Therefore, to prevent the body from becoming wet and sticky after performing long exercises, wear underwear that is soft and airy, light, and dry, such as silk.

6. Yoga Mat
A Yoga mat is one of the indispensable tools for those who love this subject. Choosing a quality Yoga mat will make your training more accessible and more comfortable.
A Yoga mat can be made of PVC, TPE, or NBR has its advantages and disadvantages. Yoga mats made of PVC are characterized by low cost but not durable. Therefore, it is suitable for those who do not have the financial ability, and time spending on Yoga is not regular. For Yoga mats made of TPE material, it has a high price, but it is compensated for excellent resistance and long using time. Therefore, it will be suitable for long-time Yoga practitioners who want to pursue this type of practice. As for Yoga mats made of NBR material due to their thick characteristics, they're suitable for trainees suffering from back and knee pain. On the other hand, with right floor insulation, they are also ideal for use in the winter when the floor temperature is too cold, and you do not want to affect health.

7. You don't need to buy new Yoga gear unless you want to
Choosing a new yoga outfit isn't necessary if you have already got the right clothes for you; you must be ready! We recommend you wear whatever you have already got, so only buy new clothes if you need them after seeing what suits you in the Yoga class.
8. Fit your personalities
There are many color options for Yoga gear. Some yogis may want to choose a light and natural color to match the environment of Yoga. However, for those who want to make their style statement, you can choose yoga outfits with distinctive styles and colors. For example, on a freezing morning, your yoga outfit may not keep you warm when doing Yoga or after cooling down. A choice to buy a Yoga shawl is a useful choice as it prevents you from having cold, but it can also act as a blanket in your Yoga relaxation techniques.
If you do Yoga and then come to the office, you may not have space or time to change clothes. The beautiful thing is that some yoga pants can be disguised or can be combined into work clothes for women. You can also wear yoga pants during a trip to the store or pick up at school.
